Trial Radar: how we find studies others miss

How Shortlisted™ spots studies that will need sites, and checks each one against what your site can really do.

Why public listings come too late

ClinicalTrials.gov shows a study once it's public. By then, the sites have often already been chosen. A site that waits for a public listing is often competing for the last few slots, or is too late altogether.

Shortlisted™ is built differently from site-matching databases. Trial Radar watches for the earlier signals that a study will need sites, and checks each one against what your site can really do before we bring it to you. It is the only service we know of that works this way for independent sites.

The signals we watch

  • Studies moving to recruiting. A study whose status changes to not yet recruiting or recruiting is often still adding sites.
  • Growing site lists. When a sponsor keeps adding locations to a study, it is looking for more sites.
  • Pushed-out completion dates. A completion date that keeps moving later can mean enrollment is slower than planned, and the sponsor may need more sites.
  • Funding rounds and SEC filings. A company that has just raised money, for example through a filing with the SEC, is often getting ready for its next study.
  • Positive Phase 2 results. Good Phase 2 results usually lead to a larger study that needs more sites.
  • Newly formed companies. A newly formed company building a clinical program will need sites before it has anything public to show.
  • Sponsors' hiring and LinkedIn activity. When a sponsor hires clinical operations staff or posts about an upcoming study, that can come well before a public listing.

No single signal means a study is a fit. A signal is a reason to look closer.

How each signal is matched to your site

Before any study reaches you, we check it against your site's real capabilities:

  • Therapeutic area and protocol fit. Does the study match the therapeutic areas you run, and could your PI run this protocol?
  • Procedures and equipment you really have. We check against what your site actually has today, not what it could add.
  • Patient access. Do you see the patients this study needs, in the numbers it needs?
  • Timing. Is site selection likely still open, and do you have the capacity in the next few months?
  • Your fit checklist. Every opportunity has to pass the fit checklist you approved before it counts. If it doesn't fit, we don't bring it to you.

We present your real capacity clearly and accurately, and we never overstate it. You approve what we send on your behalf, and the decision to pursue a study is always yours.

What it costs

Trial Radar is part of the 6-Month Site Pilot. There is no setup fee and no monthly retainer. A fixed fee applies only when a qualified feasibility arrives. Shortlisted™ never takes money from sponsors or CROs. Only the site pays us.

What we can't promise. We can't promise that a sponsor will select or activate your site, or that a study will enroll. Those decisions belong to the sponsor and to you.
